Graphite

Graphite plays an important role

in our recycling activities.  Typically,  we purchase only such types of graphite from which we know the quality.  This results from our commitment to deliver products of precisely defined quality to our customers.

Unlike other materials such as metals or many chemicals there is no international standardisation.  Graphites dffer from one producer to the next, from one graphite type af a given producer to his next type.  For this reason knowing the producer and grade name of any graphite offered to us is mandatory.  In the absence of such information a specification ot the graphite and a sample may in some cases help us to decide upon the suitability of a material.  Pictures and typical diménsions are also helpful.

Our processing of used graphites mainly is focussed on machining the material to smaller size parts.  A further route to reuse such graphites is their comminution to powders and granules.

Other types of carbon such as technical carbon or hard graphite may also qualify for recycling depending on specific parameters.

Given the frequent demand we regret to communicate that we are not able to accept used EDM graphites under any condition.  We do not have an installation to remove the dielectric (typically medium boiling mineral oil(s) from the open pores of such materials.

Also, the recycling of graphite dust, powder or granules are not part of our portfolio for commercial reasons.
